LOWELL, Mass. (WHDH) -
A Dracut man appeared in court Friday, accused of following women from a Lowell gym to their homes and assaulting them.
Prosecutors say 18-year-old Bryant Tuff isn't just a suspect in one recent case but he may be connected to three other attacks from February.
In court Tuff was allowed to hide his face as his attorney argued that he was not the man police were looking for.
The victims said they were attacked by a man in dark clothing and a ski mask. When police arrested Tuff they said they found a ski mask in his backpack.
Tuff’s attorney said family members have testified that he was home on the night in question.
“That’s my brother and I believe everything he has to say and I believe he is completely innocent,” Tuff’s brother said. The dangerousness hearing lasted throughout the day and will be continued on Tuesday; in the meantime Tuff is being held without bail.
