Pregnant woman assaulted during attempted mugging in Fall River

Fall River, Mass. (WHDH) - The police are looking for a male who allegedly assaulted a 22-year-old pregnant female in Fall River on Monday.

According to police, at approximately 3:50 p.m., the victim left an ATM at the Bank of America on North Main St. She was walking home along Durfee St. when a male approached her demanding money.

She told police that she was able to push him away, but was then sprayed with pepper spray. She was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital to be treated.

The suspect didn't obtain any money from the victim.

The victim said that she had spotted the man earlier at the ATM while she was conducting a transaction.
