Saugus man hospitalized in Fla. after suspicious incident

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WHDH) - A Saugus man is in a medically induced coma after a suspicious incident last week in Fort Lauderdale.

A witness on a busy highway observed Daniel Flynn, 29, being pushed out or jumping out of a moving vehicle. The witness was so startled that he didn't get a description of the vehicle.

Flynn was transported to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and has since been upgraded to stable status.

"He's slowly coming out of it and appears to be coming stable," Flynn's brother-in-law Kevin Turner said.

Family told 7News that he was visiting his brother, sister and father in Florida. Flynn was staying at a motel to save cash, so he was alone. He had plans to meet up with a friend the next morning.

Turner said Flynn's debit and credit cards are missing.

"It's been really hard and great at the same time. A lot of friends and family coming together to support him," Turner said.

"It's going to be a long road for him. We just need prayers, prayers, prayers."," Flynn's aunt Joanne Moran said.

Detectives in Florida are asking for the public's assistance with the investigation.
