Grade schoolers to vote on Quincy recycling robot

Posted: Updated:
Quincy third graders will soon vote on naming a new recycling robot, according to the city's public works department.

The robot will be visiting schools in the spring to talk about the benefits of recycling. Third graders will be asked to choose a name from a pre-determined list.

The robot can sing, dance and answer questions. It's designed to look like a recycling bin.

It was donated by curbside waste collector Sunrise Scavenger.

Others can participate in the "Name that Robot" contest by taking an online survey. You can view the survey by clicking here.
