Reports: Patriots sign cornerback Darrelle Revis

Posted: Updated:
FOXBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -

The New England Patriots have reportedly replaced cornerback Aqib Talib less than 24 hours after the free agent signed a deal taking him to Denver.

ESPN’s Adam Shefter is reporting that the Patriots and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis have reached an agreement.

The Patriots will reportedly pay Revis $12 million for a one-year deal, making Revis the league's highest paid corner.

Tampa Bay released Revis Wednesday.

Revis will need to pass a physical and sign the contract to make it official.
