3-year-old calls for help after mom has seizure

WEYMOUTH, Mass. (WHDH) - Eight-months pregnant, Tiffany Lynch was sitting down when she suffered a seizure and fell onto the ground, but thankfully her daughter Aryanna was there.

The 3-year-old recognized that something was wrong so she grabbed her mom’s iPhone, unlocked it and called a family member for help.

“I have my cousin’s daughter who just called me to tell me that she fell and she’s not awake,” the family member told a 911 dispatcher.

On Wednesday, Aryanna Lynch was recognized by the mayor and the town’s police department for her bravery and quick actions.

“Your quick response and undeniable concern for your mother’s well-being has made an everlasting impression on many of us,” a police officer said during the ceremony.

Tiffany Lynch said the family still can’t believe the young girl was able to take charge of the situation.

“She did a very good thing, we’re very proud of her,” Lynch said.

Aryanna was also given a scholarship to attend preschool this fall.
