The first week of March has been playing out more like the first week of January. Despite the lack of falling snow, we’ve had no shortage of cold air as the numbers have run a good 10-15 degrees below the average by early March standards.
We’ll change that up to start the weekend with highs running near 45 on Saturday. As “mild” as it’ll feel, it’s actually very close to average high of 44 for March 8th. Clouds do increase in the afternoon out ahead of the next cold front that slides in, that’ll cool us back into the 30s for Sunday. Both weekend days are dry, so overall, we do ok with great skiing weather across all of New England through the weekend. Don’t forget to “Spring Forward” Sunday morning as we set the clocks ahead 1hr.
Monday and Tuesday look fairly quiet and near seasonal with the best chance for a spotty flurry or sprinkle early each morning.
Wednesday into Thursday will be the next best chance for a more significant storm. We’ll watch for the potential merge of energy coming out of the Rockies combining with Gulf of Mexico moisture and for a more organized area of low pressure forming through the Ohio or Tennessee Valley and heading east to northeast. To far out for specifics in terms of snow/rain amounts and exact track, so at this point, we’ll just leave it as Wednesday PM – Thursday as the time frame to keep an eye on and check back in on.
Enjoy your Weekend!
