On the ice, it's morning skate, the Bruins getting set for tonight's tilt with the Panthers
“We finished strong against the rangers and we’re going in the right direction,” bruins center David Krejci said.
Off the ice, it's trade time, and shoring up the blue line is Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli's likely direction, meaning the Bruins next morning skate could look a little different
“I'm a guy who likes to think it’s completely out of our control. Whatever decision our management makes is for the best of our team and you live with it,” Bruins defenseman Torey Krug said.
If there are any tense moments as the deadline looms larger the Bruins don't seem to be showing it.
“It’s not necessarily easy, but you need to go out there and focus on your play, not Peter’s job,” Bruins center Patrice Bergeron said.
Peter Chiarelli no stranger to making deals happen at the deadline, Chris Kelly and Rich Peverley helped the bruins win a Stanley Cup in 2011, Jaromir Jagr nearly helped the home team win another last year
“It’s that time of the year for everybody so you’ve got to act like professionals, you’ve got to go out and do your job and hopefully by 3 p.m. on Wednesday you’re sitting in the dressing room you want to be in,” Bruins coach Claude Julien said.
