Marathon bikers vow to continue ride

Posted: Updated:
BOSTON (WHDH) -

Bike riders who stared a midnight ride of the Boston Marathon are vowing to continue their new tradition.

The Globe reported that security officials would like to end the ride.

Police said this has nothing to do with last year's bombing. They are concerned with the safety of cyclists, as more people are taking part each year.

The Globe reported the MBTA will not run a special train for cyclists this year.

Last year, about 15 hundred people took part in the ride.
