Quincy man arrested on fare evasion, drug charges

Posted: Updated:
QUINCY, Mass. (WHDH) - Police arrested a man Friday afternoon who attempted to get away with fare evasion at the Quincy Center T station.

Jeremy Riley, 34, of Quincy tried to get through the fare gates without paying his fare.

Officers approached him, but Riley attempted to outsmart the officers by giving them a false name and social security number.

Officers were able to figure out his true identify and found that there was already a warrant in existence for his arrest for driving under the influence with a revoked license.

After booking, police found that Riley also possessed prescription narcotics for which he didn't have a prescription.

He is expected to be arraigned on Monday on drug charges.
