LAUDERHILL, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida mother is out of jail after she was accused of giving her children medicine while, she said, she went to work as an exotic dancer.

Twenty-six-year-old Grace Pressey bonded out early Saturday morning. She was arrested and charged with five counts of child neglect.

Police said she left her five children home alone without food or electricity. They said she also gave them over-the-counter medication for cold and allergies to make them sleepy. Pressey said she was forced to leave them alone because she works nights as an exotic dancer.

Two of Pressey's children are now with their grandparents; the others are in foster care.
