Charter flight pilot reports laser aimed at plane

CONCORD, Mass. (WHDH) - Police in concord are looking for the person who shot a laser into the sky, distracting the crew of a chartered plane.

According to the FAA the incident happened shortly after 8 p.m. as the flight was taking off from Hanscom field in Bedford.

The laser is believed to have been coming from Concord.

Earlier this week two pilots reported be struck by a laser that originated from the town of Newton.

State police are working with the Newton Police Department to determine of the two incidents are connected.

Although no arrests have been made if someone is caught they could face fines of $250,000 and up to five years in prison.
