BOSTON (WHDH) -
Four Boston University sophomores living in Allston faced a judge on Friday for violating the terms of their probation by throwing a party.
The students were first charged back in September for hosting a party at their Linden Street home. In a pre-trial agreement, the judge said if they stayed out of trouble for nine months all would be forgotten.
Last month, Boston Police broke up another party at the same house, so the students were sent to jail on Tuesday.
“It's very unfortunate they had to go down and see the inside of a jail for three days. I know it was a very eye opening experience for them,” said Defense Attorney Patrick Sheehan.
The judge released the students, but with tighter restrictions on their release.
Aside from criminal charges, Boston University said that the sophomores could be facing disciplinary action or expulsion.
