NEW YORK (WHDH) -
A surprise delivery brought strangers together on a New York City sidewalk on Monday.
Now the new parents are looking to thank those who helped.
Baby Ila McCourt decided she didn't want to wait until the hospital to make her way into the world.
Caught off guard, her parents had to rely on the help of strangers.
Now they want to find the Good Samaritan who gave up her coat to cover up the mother.
“She was freezing. It was like this weather and she had a short-sleeve white t-shirt and that's one thing I can remember. I can remember a girl kneeling down with a leather jacket over her arm. Everybody was wonderful,” said Polly McCourt, mother.
A lot of New Yorkers rushed in to help, but it's the woman named Isabelle they really want to thank in person.
They even decided that Ila's middle name would be Isabelle as a tribute.
