Transit police officer bit in neck at Chinatown Station

BOSTON (WHDH) - A transit police officer is recovering Thursday after being bitten by a man at the Chinatown station.

Police responded to a call at the Chinatown t-stop Wednesday night.

A victim claimed that suspect, Rueben Thomas, assaulted him.

Police said Thomas became combative and hostile when officers approached.

In a struggle with police, officers said Thomas bit one of the officers in the neck.
