Two Boston officers on leave after allegedly freeing suspect

Posted: Updated:
BOSTON (WHDH) - Two Boston Police officers are on paid administrative leave after they allegedly let a suspect who was in custody go free.

The Boston Police Department has confirmed to 7News that the incident is part of an internal investigation.

It all allegedly started with a bar fight in area A-1 (Downtown Boston and Charlestown) in which two gang unit officers were hurt.

Two young officers reportedly had at least one suspect in custody, but they let the person go.

The police report from that bar fight is now part of an internal investigation into the incident.

The identities of the officers and suspects have not been released.
