BOSTON (WHDH) - The U.S. women's hockey team returned home Monday, and they're celebrating with family and friends after the return trip from Sochi.

The team landed at Logan Airport; they trained in Massachusetts leading up to the games.

Alex carpenter, a North Reading native, and Boston College junior showed off her medal.

“It’s been unbelievable. There's bill words to describe it. It's just been so great being with my teammates playing the sport we love. To come back with a silver medium is unbelievable,” said Alex carpenter, U.S. Olympian.

The Skating Club of Boston will greet U.S. figure skaters Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir Monday night at Logan.
