LYNN, Mass. (WHDH) -
A woman in Lynn is thankful she wasn’t sitting around lounging when a car came flying into the front of the house she lives in.
"This puts a whole meaning to a new front door, or close to front door. I felt like I was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz I heard banging and everything just went flying. If I had been sitting on the couch being a couch potato it would have got me," Denise Anderson said.
Anderson said she had just walked into the room when the car came crashing in.
She escaped injury and the driver suffered only minor injuries despite being trapped for a short time.
Steven Likousas, a contractor, was already working upstairs at Anderson’s house.
“By the grace of God, it just missed by inches of hitting a structural support which would have brought the whole second story down,” Likousas said.
He got to work repairing the new hole in her house right after the crash was cleared.
