Several cars and homes vandalized in Middleboro

Posted: Updated:
MIDDLEBORO, Mass. (WHDH) - Police are investigating acts of vandalism that were discovered on multiple cars and homes in Middleboro Saturday morning.

Several residents on Warren Ave. and West End Ave. woke up to find their homes and cars damaged, some covered in swastikas and vulgar language.

Some of the messages included racial slurs. One car vandalized had the first names of two women that lived at the house.

"I have a 22-year-old daughter and I asked her if she had any fights with anybody. She said no, so I called police," said Sharon Sherman, whose house and car were vandalized.

Investigators originally didn't believe the messages were targeting anyone in particular, but are now saying that the targets were specific.

"I just think they know it gets a reaction and they know it's offensive, but don't think they targeted the Jewish community or anything like that," Sherman said.

If you have any information regarding these crimes please contact the Middleboro Police at (508) 947-1212.
