One day after the women’s figure skating wrapped up there’s controversy surrounding the event.

A Russian teenager beat out the defending champion from South Korea for the gold.

An online petition to investigate the scores has gained more than 1.8 million supporters.

American Ashley Wagner, who finished in seventh overall, talked about the judging system hours after the competition.

“I think system is too opaque it’s not clear enough to the audience and it needs to become more fan friendly so that we can get a wider fan base. I think we need to get rid of the anonymous judging,” Wagner said

Most of the ladies will see each other again in March for the world championships, however silver medalist Yuna Kim said the Olympics was her final performance.
