ARLINGTON, Mass (WHDH) - The suspect in an Arlington sexual assault case died in custody on Friday.

Patrick Barry, 21, was charged with indecently assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Arlington. He was being held on bail.

According to the Middlesex County Sheriff’s office, Barry underwent a routine medical screening on Feb. 14, where personnel said he required emergency care.

He was transported to Lowell General Hospital and then later to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where he died.

Barry, a former Northeastern University student, was arrested on Feb. 12 after police used a GPS monitoring bracelet to place him at the crime scene.

He was previously arrested last summer for two armed sexual assaults in the Mission Hill area.
