MSPCA-Nevins Farm Pet of the Week: Humphrey the dog
BOSTON (WHDH) -
How’s it possible that a gorgeous 18-month-old lab retriever/Catahoula Leopard mix dog such as Humphrey could end up at the animal shelter? Staffers at MSPCA-Nevins Farm in Methuen, where Humphrey is currently staying, ask themselves that question every day.
Humphrey is an active, joyful dog would do wonderfully in a home with lots of positive re-enforcement, structure and daily opportunities for exercise and play. He’s an active person’s dog, for sure! Staffers are working with him to ensure he grows even more comfortable and calm among strangers—but that work will need to continue with his new owner. He has been a tremendous addition to the MSPCA-Nevins Farm’s “shelter dog woods walks” program, and loves going for walks on the trail, often with another adoptable canine.
He is in great health and neutered and will be microchipped prior to going to his forever home.
