Cambridge man arrested after tormenting police dog

Posted: Updated:
BOSTON (WHDH) - A Cambridge man was arrested Tuesday evening after tormenting a police dog.

A Transit Police officer was stopped at a red light on Mass. Ave. with his canine partner. The vehicle had a “Caution K9” marking on the side.

Antonio Brown, 25, was walking in the crosswalk when he proceeded to walk up alongside the vehicle and made grunting and barking noises at the dog.

The dog, named Viktor, became agitated, causing him to suffer a small laceration next to his left eye that required treatment.

The officer chased after Brown, who entered a vehicle. The officer was able to stop the car and place Brown into custody.

He is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday.
