AUBURN, Mass. (WHDH) -
Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found unconscious and bleeding underneath a car at the Auburn Mall.
Police and fire crews entered the parking garage around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
A man is expected to be arraigned in Worcester Central District Court Wednesday morning, charged with misleading a police investigation in connection with the woman's death.
A statement from the general manager of the mall said "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim's family and friends at this time. Auburn Mall is working closely with the Auburn Police Department in their investigation.”
The woman was brought to UMass Memorial Medical Center. It is unclear if she was breathing when she was transported.
The red SUV that the woman was found underneath was removed from the garage on a tow truck at 9 p.m., five hours after police responded.
Few other details have been released.
