Everett robbery, shooting caught on surveillance camera

EVERETT, Mass. (WHDH) -  Police in Everett are looking for two suspects after a violent robbery at a convenience store.

It happened at the Main Street Neighborhood Convenience Store where two clerks were working just before 10 p.m. Monday.

Mohammed Islam owns the store, he said his cousin was punched in the face and his 66-year-old uncle was shot.

“My cousin told me they were here, he shot my uncle in the belly right away," Islam said.

Neighbors say the clerks at the store are always very nice.

“I can't believe it, he’s the nicest guy you ever want to meet. He does anything for anybody,” neighbor Lenny Pepper said.

The dramatic scene was captured on several surveillance cameras, a still image of one of the suspect's has been released.

“Uncle was trying to defend himself with a stick, and he was getting shot,” Pepper said.

EMT's rushed the clerk to Mass General Hospital. The clerk was shot once and is in stable condition and recovering from surgery.
