Fire breaks out in Wrentham apartment building

Posted: Updated:
WRENTHAM, Mass. (WHDH) - Residents of a Wrentham apartment building were forced out into the cold after a fire broke out Sunday morning.

Neighbors helped each other escape the building on Clark Road, a 17-year-old running to another unit to warn others of the fire.

The freezing conditions caused trouble for firefighters. One hydrant was covered in snow and another was frozen.

One fire fighter was injured as a result of the blaze.

There was sufficient damage to the building.

Officials are investigating the cause. It's unclear whether or not the fire is suspicious.
