LOWELL, Mass. (WHDH) -
The storm really piled it on in some communities. Residents in Lowell have been digging themselves out of 10 inches.
The snow fell steadily Thursday and got a short burst overnight. 7’s Janet Wu reported everything turned slushy and heavy with a thin layer of ice on top, making for a difficult clean up. There was persistent rain and snow flurries early Friday morning.
The city was well prepared Thursday, issuing a parking ban that began that went into effect at 6:00 a.m. Thursday.
Tough New Englanders were getting out as soon as possible Friday morning to tackle the job of digging out their cars and cleaning up their yards. Crews were out overnight and early Friday morning taking care of the roads.
