Power outages expected in Plymouth

Posted: Updated:
PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WHDH) - Plymouth is expecting power outages during Thursday’s storm due to strong winds along with the snow.

NSTAR reported less than 100 outages and National Grid didn’t have any to report.

Should you lose power during the storm, be sure to: stay clear of fallen trees, limbs or wires. Assume downed wires are live. Disconnect appliances that go on automatically once power is restored.

Never leave burning candles unattended and make a list of emergency numbers to have available.

Food in the refrigerator will stay good for 6-9 hours, and food in the freezer will keep between 36 and 48 hours; minimize the number of times you open the fridge and freezer doors.

Also, be sure to charge all mobile devices, iPads, iPhones, and cellphones, to stay connected to the internet.
