Lawrence police looking for two armed robbers

Posted: Updated:
LAWRENCE, Mass. (WHDH) - Police in Lawrence are looking for two men who robbed a convenience store and threatened a mother and her child.

The robbery was caught on surveillance camera and in the video one of the robbers can be seen lifting his mask.

“Not only was it the robbery, it was the small child with the mother going in at 8:30 at night to a convenience store. It should be safe, they should be able to walk into the store. Not only was the store robbed, but they were in fear,” Lawrence Police Lt. James Raso said.

This is the same pair, police believe, that have committed five other robberies in Lawrence and one in Methuen.

“It’s not always a convenience store, sometimes it’s a crime of opportunity walking down the street. The same two, we believe, take advantage of a certain situation. It could be a convenience store, it could be, in one case, a gentleman snowblowing his driveway,” Lawrence Police Lt. Michael McCarthy said.

Police are hoping the video will help someone recognize the duo. Anyone with information is asked to call the Lawrence Police Department at (978) 794-5900.
