Michelle Picard is a 20-year-old defenseman who graduated up to the U.S. women’s national team three years ago, after previously serving as captain of the U18 Team. Since joining the top-level women’s national team, Picard has played in a pair of IIHF World Championships, winning a gold medal in 2013 and a silver medal in 2012. Picard is also a key member of the Harvard University women’s hockey team, having completed her sophomore year in 2012-13.

  • Four Nations Cup tournaments: Won first place in 2011 and 2012, second place in 2010 and third place in 2013.

1. Played four high school seasons at the Noble & Greenough School in Massachusetts, which is the same school to produce NHL player Mark Fayne of the New Jersey Devils and actor Michael Beach, who is most known for his role as FDNY paramedic Monte ‘Doc’ Parker on “Third Watch.”

2. Led Noble & Greenough to a league championship in softball in both 2009 and 2010.

3. In 2010, was a Harvard Book Club Award recipient.
