Weather concerns for men's halfpipe in Sochi

SOCHI, Russia (WHDH) -

There's been developments overnight concerning one of Tuesday’s marquee events.

It's very balmy in Sochi with temps in the mid-50s and it's wreaking havoc on events.

Officials have moved the start time for the men's halfpipe twice in the past couple hours. First they pushed it back because of the warm temperatures hoping things would cool off, keep the snow from melting further but they decided to keep it at the original time.

The last check, things are going as planned. This competition is the one that features American Shaun White going for his record third straight gold medal. White admitted to Matt Lauer he's thinking about what a three-peat would be like.

“I visualize everything. What my family would look like at the bottom. Everything, you kind of run through, at least I do, and it looks good,” said White.
