CHICOPEE, Mass. (WHDH) - A giant Air Force plane had to make an unexpected landing at the Westover Air Reserve base in Chicopee on Saturday.

According to officials, the C-5B that was traveling from Germany to Delaware lost cabin pressure at 34,000 feet while flying over the Atlantic Ocean.

The plane was directed to Westover for maintenance and landed safely at 2:29 p.m.

Of the 25 people that were on board, only one was taken to a local hospital with a minor injury. No other injuries were reported.

The incident prompted the military to deploy fire and emergency vehicles at Pease Air National Guard Base in Portsmouth, N.H.; Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Mass.; and Westover Air Reserve Base.
