Caitlin Cahow to march in Olympic Opening Ceremony

Posted: Updated:
SOCHI, Russia (WHDH) -

The 2014 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony is Friday night.

Thousands of athletes from all over the world will march in it. From the United States, there are 230 delegates to watch for.

We're also learning hockey player Caitlin Cahow will be part of the presidential delegation. The openly gay silver and bronze medalist will take over for Billy Jean King in the presidential delegation because King can't be in Sochi because her mother is sick.

Also, in celebration of gay rights, Google has taken a stance against Russia’s anti-gay laws. Their homepage featured a gay pride flag with Olympic events.
