Yup, it snowed yesterday. Most cities & towns picked up at least 8″ and several towns close to a foot of snow. The storm is gone but that snow is here for a bit but we do have some sunny days in front of us.

Now that we are into February, that sun is a bit stronger as well as a little more direct which will help to chew up that snow/ice on the driveways, side streets as well as parking lots but give it a few hours and watch for black ice. Also, have the sunglasses ready as that sun will bounce off that fresh snow & can be a bit bright (even blinding on sensitive eyes) through the day. It will be cool but no wind which is HUGE this time of year.

Tomorrow & even Saturday offer a similar weather message….cold morning, cool afternoon with the entire day full of sunshine and light winds. Some great downhill and XC skiing weather! In terms of that “Sunday Storm”, it’s on–sort of. There will be a storm passing south of New England on Sunday but it won’t blow up as it does. So………..plan on patchy light snow & snow showers for much of the day with a coating to 2″ likely by Sunday evening.
