BOSTON (WHDH) -
It’s National Weather Person's Day. Mother Nature is delivering a gift to all.
Boston has seen seven and a half inches of snow so far in the city. The morning commute was slow.
There was a very light volume in terms of foot traffic and car traffic Wednesday morning. The sidewalks and streets just manageable to get around.
One thing to note this storm is different than the last couple of storms. Going back to Jan. 3 it was two degrees with a wind chill of minus 21 in Boston. The cold air added a huge fluff factor to the snow.
The snow started early, and let up a little early in the afternoon before coming down again Wednesday evening.
"We came out this afternoon and we thought we had all the snow shoveled up at the time as it turns out it kept snowing and snowing and snowing so it left me a little bit for me tonight to shovel,” Peter Meade said.
Every storm has its own personality. Either you get heavy wet snow to move around or cold temperatures with a lighter snow.
