White hurts wrist testing out slope-style course

SOCHI, Russia (WHDH) - The first medals of the 2014 Winter Olympics will be handed out in just a few days, as the world's greatest winter athletes continue to arrive in Sochi.

Shaun White hurt his wrist Tuesday while testing out the new slope-style course.

The multi-gold medal winner joined fellow boarders voicing their concern about it.

White himself called the course intimidating.

“It's interesting. Any time you step out on a course, there is a certain amount of danger. There is a certain element of risk that you are putting yourself in for, but I don't know. Maybe this course might have a little bit more than others but we're trying to figure it out,” said Shaun White, Team USA, snowboard.

White is seeking his third Olympic gold in Sochi.
