SOUTHBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -
Police in Southboro are looking for the suspect in a series of tire slashings that occurred Sunday during the Super Bowl.
The suspect is described as a large man by those who saw him before the incident.
“When he comes in here he has to duck his head to get in the front entry way. He’s probably 6 feet 8inches and has prosthetic leg. He’s a very large man, probably upwards of 300 pounds,” Michael O’Brien, the manager at Owen O’Leary’s said.
O’Brien said the man went in to the bar, but the bartender cut him off.
The bartender said she went upstairs and saw the man outside using something to stab the tires on 7 different cars.
“I ran outside started yelling at him, he was parked over left. At that point he popped up go into truck, which is a big blue ice cream type box truck painted a Smurf color blue, at that point he just took off, backed up as we were going towards him. He peeled out of the parking lot going about 20 or 30 and almost hit car going on to Route 9,” O’Brien said.
The man also had a southern accent and O’Brien said his truck had Red Sox vanity license plates.
He hopes someone will remember seeing the man and will contact police.
