Fitchburg teacher's aide says she isn't mad

Posted: Updated:
A Fitchburg teacher's aide who found herself in the middle of a controversy is sharing her side of the story.

Kaitlin Pearson was put on administrative leave earlier this month, after it was discovered that she had a second job as a lingerie model.

This week she was reinstated after the school system decided that she did nothing wrong.

Pearson said she couldn't be happier and the school community welcomed her back with open arms.

"The first day I got so many hugs, and everyone was saying that they were so glad I'm back, my students were just running up to me,” she said.

Some have accused Pearson of sending the photos herself to the school, for the increased exposure on her modeling career.

She called that absurd.

"That hurt. Why would I risk my job, my privacy, my friend's privacy, my boyfriend's privacy, just for a couple extra likes on a Facebook page,” she said.

She also said that she isn't planning on leaving her job at South Street Elementary any time soon.
