McDonald's employee charged with selling heroin in Happy Meals
A Pittsburgh-area woman has been arrested after police said she sold heroin inside McDonald's Happy Meals.
According to the Swissvale Police Department, Shantia Dennis sold heroin through the McDonalds' drive-thru window. Anybody who wanted some could simply pull up to the window, say "I'd like to order a toy," and receive the heroin for an extra $80.
Police said you had to ask for a boy's toy.
Dennis denies the allegations.
"It surprises the hell out of me, that you can come to McDonalds and get a happy meal and some fries and a bag of dope, man. come on," said customer Hackee Everett.
Police said the allegations are even more serious because she was using a kid's meal to push the drugs.
"It's possible that this could have been given to somebody else with a child in the car who legitimately was buying a Happy Meal... and then it would be very dangerous for a child to get this heroin," said Chief Gregory Geppert.
This is the second Pittsburgh-area McDonald's worker that has been arrested for allegedly selling heroin this month. Police don't think the two cases are related.
