Malden police continue to investigate murder one year later

Posted: Updated:
MALDEN, Mass (WHDH) -- - Police are looking for two men they believe are responsible for a murder in Malden one year ago.

Surveillance video shows two men going into a skate shop wearing what appear to be purple jackets with hoods.

A short time later neighbors say they heard six or seven gunshots and the owner was found dead.

“This is a very active ongoing investigation, we are working with experts to enhance that video and identify those individuals,” Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said.

Shawn Clark, a 39-year-old veteran and father, was the only one working at the shop when he was killed.

The District Attorney would not say if they know what the motive was, whether Clark knew his attackers or even if anything was stolen.

“We did have a father a husband, a friend and a man that served his country honorably and all those factors have stayed with us and will continue to remain with us and furthers our resolve to continue to work this case as hard as we have,” Malden Police Chief Kevin Molis said.

Family and friends of Clark are offering a $60k reward for information that leads to an arrest.
