Normal service resumes at Davis Station after suspicious item found

SOMERVILLE, Mass. (WHDH) - Police were checking into a suspicious item at Davis Station early Tuesday afternoon.

MBTA transit police said red line service between Alewife and Harvard stations was replaced with bus service as they investigated.

The item was located on the southbound tracks according to MBTA officials.

Transit police examined the area and determined the item was safe. Normal service has resumed in the area.
