Police chief in DJ Henry case faces child porn charges

Posted: Updated:
The police chief involved in the investigation of the shooting death of DJ Henry is facing child pornography charges.

Brian Fanelli was a lieutenant when a Mount Pleasant police officer shot and killed Easton teen DJ Henry outside of a New York bar in 2010.

Fanelli is accused of using a file sharing program to download more than 100 images of child porn. Prosecutors say he then shared those files with others.

The Henry family is suing the Mount Pleasant Police Department. DJ Henry’s father spoke about the charges.

“I think if the allegations are true here, it speaks to the general criminality that was underfoot here and maybe his own views about what’s lawful and what isn’t. You can’t be above the law, whether you’re upholding or you’re a person that supposed to do what the law requires.” Said Danroy Henry Sr.

A judge released Faneli on bail to home confinement with electronic monitoring.
