A courtroom in Fitchburg turned toward chaos when missing 5-year-old Jeremiah Oliver’s uncle lost his temper.
The flare spilled over into a hallway where family members and officers tussled.
The family was at a court hearing for Elsa Oliver, Jeremiah’s mother, who has been charged with reckless endangerment of a child and accessory after the fact.
She showed no emotion when the judge ruled that she is competent to stand trial.
Elsa Oliver’s boyfriend Alberto Sierra Jr. is facing similar charges for the treatment of Oliver’s children, but he was not in court Friday.
