Co-workers defend Fitchburg teacher's aide

FITCHBURG, Mass. (WHDH) - Family and friends are defending Kaitlin Pearson, a Fitchburg teacher's aides, put on administrative leave after her racy modeling photos surfaced.

Pearson was a special education teacher’s aide at the South Street Elementary School before being placed on administrative leave after the school's superintendent received the photos from an anonymous tip.

Pearson was a favorite at the In House coffee shop in Worcester where workers defended her actions.

“She’s funny. All the customers love her. She’s a nice girl. Hard working” said former co-worker Alexandra Campos.

Pearson’s older sister also came to her defense on Facebook. Posting the following message on Thursday:

"I support you 100%! Haters only hate people they can't have or the people they can't be. You rock lil sis!"

Not all parents agree with the school’s decision.

“As long it doesn't hurt kids I'm ok with what she does in personal life.” said one parent to 7News.

The superintendent said Pearson would remain on paid leave while the investigation continues.
