Suspect in U.S. postal worker shooting arrested

A man has been arrested in connection with the attempted robbery, assault and kidnapping of a US Postal worker that occurred back in December.

Another suspect is still at large.

According to police, the victim, a postal worker, was making deliveries in Dorchester when a man jumped into the truck and held a gun to the carrier’s head.

The suspect ended up shooting the postal worker in the wrist after a scuffle and started to drive the truck away.

The victim jumped out the back of the truck. The suspects abandoned the truck a short while later.

Police arrested Maurice Williams Miner-Gittens, 23 on Wednesday.

Police are now asking for the public’s assistance in locating the other suspect. Keyon Taylor, 21, is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information regarding Taylor’s whereabouts should contact the U.S. Postal Inspectors at (877) 876-2455 and choose option two.
