A woman’s blog post about a kind man on a plane has gone viral.
Kate Mouland is a three-year-old with autism. Her family was flying back from Disneyworld when a businessman sat next to the girl and her mom Shanell Mouland.
Kate reached over and called the man “daddy,” but the man shrugged it off, thrilled to play Ninja Turtles or show her pictures on his iPad.
“I was emotional because it was so sweet, and it's not what we usually experience on flights,” said Shanell Mouland.
At the end of the flight, Kate had a meltdown, so they never did get the man's name.
The mother wrote in the family's blog about the experience with the passenger in seat 16c and her posting went viral, with almost a million views so far.
Calls from newspapers and stations have come in. Even though fame might be fleeting, the Moulands think the experience was positive.
“If we reach a couple of people, who will now treat a child, or even an adolescent, or an adult, with a little extra compassion, a little extra patience. I think the experience is absolutely positive,” said the father Alex Mouland.
