Small plane flips over at Beverly Airport

Posted: Updated:
Emergency crews raced to the tarmac at Beverly Airport on Wednesday after a small plane flipped over.

The pilot, who was uninjured and walked away from the wreck, said he doesn’t even know what happened.

“It was just a normal landing and I don't even know what happened. I just swooped to the left and tried to get off the grass and I went down,” said Bill Young.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene where they found Young and his passenger talking and okay.

The FAA is investigating how this incident happened.

The airport closed for a couple hours, but is now up and operational.
