Kayna Whitworth is is currently the anchor of 7NEWS Today in New England (M-F 5a.m. - 7a.m., 9a.m. - 10a.m.).

Kayna joined 7News in December 2012.

She was a morning news anchor for the last 7 years in Oregon, Idaho and Arizona.
While in Arizona Kayna covered everything from the shooting that killed 6 people and injured Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords to border wars and wildfires. She also was proud to serve as the spokesperson for the Southern Arizona chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

While she loves covering the news, sports will always hold a place in Kayna's heart. Her father is a high school football coach and she grew up on the sidelines.

Kayna's mother is a marathon runner and hopefully someday Kayna will be able to keep up. For now she has a few triathlons and half marathons under her belt.

Kayna is a native of Colorado. When she is not in the 7Newsroom she maybe out running with her dog Tater, hitting the gym or chowing down on oysters.

Kayna is a graduate of Colorado State University where she received her bachelor's degree in speech communication with a concentration in rhetorical studies. She played on the club lacrosse team for the CSU Rams.
