Nick Emmons is an anchor and reporter at 7News – WHDH.  He joined 7News in October of 2013, the same week the Red Sox won the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Nick has covered major stories across New England, including reporting on terror trials, anchoring coverage of a historic blizzard, and live team coverage of the Patriots Super Bowl celebration in 2015.

He comes to Boston from Denver, Colorado where he anchored morning and evening shows at KDVR/KWGN. While in Denver, Nick covered major local and national stories like the Aurora theater shooting, where 12 people were killed during a Batman premiere. Nick also covered some the worst wildfires in Colorado history, as well as devastating floods.

Prior to Denver, Nick worked on California’s central coast. As a morning anchor at KION, he covered major events like the Fukushima earthquake, which triggered a tsunami that reached the California coast. Nick also got to enjoy some of the perks of working events like the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where he interviewed celebrities like Kevin Costner and Bill Murray.

Nick attended college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he was a member of the football program. As a back-up quarterback, and running back, Nick jokes he played “left out.”

Nick lives in Boston with his wife, Paige, and their two French Bulldogs, Frank and Beans. Now that he’s in Boston, he loves exploring a city and state with such a rich history.
