The father of missing five-year-old Jeremiah Oliver was joined by friends and family members Friday night as the search for his son continued.

The 5 year old hasn’t been seen for three months, but relatives and police only discovered he was missing last week when the boy’s mother and her boyfriend were arrested.

“We don’t know if he’s alive somewhere, we don’t know if he’s dead, there’s a black hole in the heart, because we don’t know,” Sandrino Oliver, Jeremiah’s uncle, said.

Jose Oliver fought back tears as he admitted that he hadn’t seen his son in two years.

He said heartbroken, but also overwhelmed with the community’s show of support.

“It shows me there are people who care, and I appreciate every one of them,” Oliver said.

Jeremiah’s mother, Elsa Oliver is charged with reckless endangerment of a child.

Her boyfriend, Alberto Sierra, is also behind bars for assault and battery on a child.

Oliver believes his wife knows what happened to Jeremiah and encouraged her to speak out.

“Talk, do it for your kids, because I know you love your kids, I know you loved Jeremiah I know you love Juliana, I know you love Romeo, I’ve seen it with my own eyes, just talk,” Oliver said.

In 2011, the department of children and families got a report of child neglect.

The social worker assigned to the case failed to make the required monthly checks, so this week, that social worker and her supervisor were both fired.

Police searched the family’s Fitchburg home but found nothing, leaving loved ones with more questions than answers.
